The Fishing Boat from Cantabric sea
You can see a Fishing Boat anchored in Donisti port.
Main ship characteristics:

Length: 1060 mm.
Breadth: 306 mm.
Displacement: 8 Kg. (weight of the water displaced)

This dimensions are the result of several "de caeza" moments.

"de caeza" --> the involved person is sleeped or sleeping, but affecting that is thinking.
The first step is to make the design (drawing) in diedric system. From this drawing are obtained all the ship parts and also can be performed all necessary calculations.

The lines plan will be used to trace the frames and another parts of the hull, to start the model assembly.

The frames are the ribs of the model ship, on the first drawing can be seen in the right side.

The keel is the central part where are assembled the frames. This can be seen in the next photos.
Before the construction process, and according drawings, can be modelled the ship model in 3D and so to check the dimensions status and shape.
This is the first version of a fishing boat drawing 3D with a lesser breadth.
Also we can do 3D animations.

In this case we are used the 3D Studio MAX.
We can see the ship from the desired angle.
Is possible increase details as required.
Now we can start the work.

The frames, strakes and onother parts are obtained from drawings and cut from a polywood. The next step is assemble this parts and start the plank.
Will be used cost pins and clamps to fix the parts during the dried process of the white glue.

In this two photographs is possible to see: strakes, shoe piece, inkpot, keel, stern tube and frames.
In this step already is possible to see the finished ship. Also you can to see the stem and the keel parts.
The ship zone aft, is the most difficult to finish due to your shape. You can see the stern frame and the rudder hole parts.
On this photo, you can see very well the handmake clamps, manufactured with bend irons and screws.

The deck stringer is a very important part of the deck, and is the deck strake most resistant. The showed part is the handrail that support us. In this photo is showed the ship escutcheon and the beams on this parts is assembled the deck plank
We are sure that some people no know what is the difference between the ship length and breadth, this is the moment to clarify the matter.

On this picture we can see also: bow port, bulwark stay, bilge, port fin.
In this moment is very interesting to know that port is the ship left side, and starboard is the ship right side. Bow and stern are the front and rear of the ship
This is a detailed fotograph on the planked of the bow deck.
In this another one can be see the deck recently finished.
Now is neccessary to make the access to the inside of the ship where will be positioned the ship superstructure. The cut line of this access shall be drawed perfectly on the deck and shall be used a good saw.
In this picture can be seen very well the accu accomodations and motor location.

The white glue excess is not deleted from inner plank because she serves as water resistent. In a real ship this process is designated as caulking, and during such process is used tow and pitch.
Now is the moment to make the superstructure.

The different parts shall be cutted from polywood according the drawings, and shall be assembled using white glue and cost pins during the glue dryed process.
This is the work resultalready is showing your shape.
the ship is in a very avanced step...
The stern has been moulded in a good shape...
Using some toothpick and two circular polywood parts can be manufactured the rudder arm.
Also we manufactur the ship support, your shape is complementary to the ship frames shape...
The propeller is manufactured of four brass pieces inserted in four holes performed on a brass bar internal screwed. All this pieces are brazed welded with a torch and a lot of pacience...
In this moment the propeller is assembled on the ship. This assembly shall be performed using vaseline to make the propeller shaft and stern tube water resistants.

This picture show also the rudder already assembled.
In certain areas can be necessary use car putty to smooth it...
In this moment we give several coats of varnish and already we have the hull finished.
In this photo we can see the way to construct the mast including your weldment
Now we paint the ship in the same manner as the fishing cantabric boats. The paint used is car paint.
Finally we are obtained the desired result, now only is neccessary that someone of us performs a similar handwork.
